How Does Lifeline Work?

Lifeline provides immediate, 24-hour access to emergency help via a communicator that attaches to a home telephone. A portable remote button that can be worn by the subscriber either around the neck or on the wrist activates the communicator.

Who Can Benefit from the Lifeline Service?

Anyone who:

• lives alone
• is elderly or frail
• has mobility issues
• needs assistance with one or more activities of daily living
• was hospitalized because of a fall
• has a history of frequent cardiac or respiratory emergencies
• is currently using the services of a Home Health Agency
• is physically disabled
• is wheelchair restricted
• is bed bound
• is recovering from a stroke
• is blind or deaf
• is alone for any period of time
• is caring for an infant who is considered at a high risk for Sudden Infant Death Syndrome or who is on monitoring equipment
